Widely regarded as the most prestigious tournament, an audience Wimbledon is likely the pinnacle in one’s career for a tennis player. Grass courts, a smart dress code and an event steeped in tradition. All a player hopes for is a perfect match.
Inspired by Wimbledon, the worlds oldest tennis tournament which began in 1877, we took our cue and designed the perfect Love Match – a preppy tennis engagement party complete with tennis whites, traditional strawberries and cream and, of course, a Pimm’s Cup; the unofficial drink for the tournament. For this inspirational shoot with Vow Magazine, we partnered with many of our lovely and very talented friends at Cookies by Design, Just Cupcakes, La Bella Chic Salon, Leslie Hartig Floral Design, RSVP Stationery, Table Seven Antiques and Waterford Event Rentals.
Our photographer, Angela Elise, captured these beautiful shots of our models wearing fashions from Dillard’s and Diamonds Direct on the courts and grounds Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.
I would be remiss without offering extra special thanks to Kristin Rapisardi, fellow event designer and owner of Lustre Theory, who served at Styling Assistant, models Katherine and Jason Rowe, Aarynn and Patrick McMahon, Courtney and Mike Violette and Fredrick Dantonio for use of his British sports car, a two-seater 1965 Morgan, painted in traditional Connaught Green.
We think any umpire would agree this match was won with a beautiful ace.
